ATASU’s 36th Foundation Day: NEFSA’s Director attends as a special guest
Introduction
On July 15th, 2024 the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) observed its 36th foundation day at the Tai Ahom Capital City, Sibsagar. The leading students’ organisation of the Tai Ahoms in the state offered tribute to the founder of the Ahom dynasty, Chaolung Siu Ka Pha. The evening was glorified by the presence of Pabitra Margherita, Union Minister of State for External Affairs; and Textiles who extended words of gratitude to celebrate the remarkable day.
NEFSA’s Director as a special guest
The Director of North Eastern Fire Service Academy (NEFSA), Mr. Gondhopoti Sungkurang marked the event as a special guest. NEFSA, established in Dibrugarh under the Government of India, Education Society Registration Act(1860), serves as an academy committed to its vision of making quality training accessible rooted with the ideals of self-discipline, integrity, mutual respect; rendering valuable service to the society. The creation of job-oriented training courses and opportunities to inculcate a sense of achievement and strong value within the trainees continues to be a significant endeavour.
Conclusion
The interaction between core members of the two renowned organisations of the state entailed a vision for a progressive society in the near future. With the major focus on Youth, ATASU and NEFSA ensured the birth of a strong base for the development of skilled individuals and a promise of unity and hard work, enabling its students’ and trainees’ to identify themselves as responsible stewards of the society.
